Growing up in Los Angeles, public transportation was a big part of my family’s life. Being dependent on the bus to get to school throughout the years, it became very apparent how poorly the seats were taken care of, both by transit companies and the riders.
It got to the point where we were hesitant to even sit down. And one day, my father and I decided to do something about it when we recognized the same hesitation from other riders. We saw an opportunity to serve our community, and quickly go to work measuring the seats on various buses and trains.
We did our research to find a non-woven fabric that would protect people from bacteria, germs, moisture, and odors. After working with a local seamstress and finalizing our product, we quickly began partnering with small businesses to reach more of the community and make our company a reality.
